What is so unique about SAMIR Program?

SAMIR (SysAdmin Moulding for Industry Readiness) is the first of its kind in the SysAdmin World. It is our attempt to speed up the on-the-job training process by providing hands-on learning experience to our participants. If it takes less time to train you on-the-job and if you already know most of the stuff they need, which company wouldn't want to hire you?

This program helps the participants as follows:

1. moulding them as a better Unix/Linux Admins by exposing them to working in an IT environment
2. hands-on training on related to popular Unix/Linux sysadmin software which helps them on job
3. enables them to work as a Unix/Linux Admin in a company with confidence
4. expediting the process of their getting a SysAdmin job faster.

Who is eligible?

Participants need to have earlier training in any Linux/Unix Admin course (both basics and admin). They are shortlisted based on a written test and an interview. New batches start once in 3 months and we take only two per batch.

What is the duration of this program?

It takes at least 45 days for successful completion of this program. At the end of the program, we conduct a final test and interview. Based on the performance, we issue participation certificates.

What is covered?

Does that mean you don't provide hands-on training normally?

While our emphasis has always been teaching things hands-on, if you look at the contents of this program, you would realize why we cannot cover all these topics in a normal training program.

Does it come with Job Guarantee?

Our company is in regular need of dedicated and hard-working Unix/Linux Admins. So, if you are too good, we would hire you before anyone else (provided you are interested working with us). Moreover, if the IT departments around us recognizes the effort and dedication that we have put in in developing this course, it helps you get a job in other companies faster.

What if I couldn't clear your selection process after this program?

Pretty simple. You cannot be hired by us. But that is not the end of the world! Each company would have a different set of requirements so if you master a technology, all you have to do is appear for interviews and we are sure you land in a good job soon.

I don't mind paying extra if you assure me a Job. Would you?

Taking more money from our participants and giving it back to them as salary when they join us - this trick has been played by some companies. Fortunately, we cannot dilute our company's name or services this way. And, if you have this mindset, you are not ready to go that extra mile that is very much needed in the field of SysAdmin.
